It all started back in 1988 in Palatine Illinois.
That was the original Bo-Bo’s on Dundee road just
east of Rand road .The original Bo-Bo’s featured 50’s
decor, pink & turquoise wall with lots of 50’s memo-
rabilia. Pictures of famous movie posters , famous
personalities such as James Dean, Marilyn Monroe,
lots o f classic cars made you fell like you were back
in the 50’s ,when life was less complicated ,and you
went with your date to your favorite drive in. The juke
box was playing Elvis , Green River was flowing from
the pop Machine, the smells from the baby back ribs,
BBQ chickens, char- burgers & Chicken pitas filled
the air.
The mixers were spinning making old fashioned
malts & shakes. Every Saturday night was cruise
night where the Chevy cruisers would bring some of
the most beautiful cars from the 50’s & 60’s.
The Palatine Store was relocated to Vernon
Hills. Bo-Bo's has been operating in Vernon Hills since
1994 almost fourteen years. The Vernon Hills store is
a great location next to Westfield Hawthorn Mall by
the Dominicks Shopping Center in the heart of Vernon
Hills. Vernon Hills Bo-Bo's has great 50's atmosphere
with turquoise, white and pink booths and chairs with
lots of 50's Memorabilia on the walls that you think
you are in a different time, A Blast from the past.
